MANILA — Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla signed a treaty with the United Arab Emirates covering extradition, mutual legal assistance in criminal matters and the transfer of sentenced persons.

Signing for the UAE was Justice Minister Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi.

“This agreement signifies a collaborative effort to strengthen legal cooperation and ensure justice between both countries,” the DOJ said in a Facebook post.
