MANILA — Aside from dating as couples, there are other ways to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Filipinos visiting Dangwa, also known as the flower capital of Manila, shared their plans for Valentines Day.

Instead of the traditional dates, Riona and friends will do 'galentines', where girls or gals get together with their friends instead of their partners.

"Mag-aarrange po kami ng flowers, pang-cloutchase po," said Riona Metra.

"Ngayong year po, kami talaga yung close, it would be interesting na kaming apat naman instead yung mga boyfriends namin ang kasama namin! All about giving and loving," said Lavern Capulong.

(This year, we have been really close so it will be interesting to spend the day together instead of spending it with our boyfriends.)

Even the single ones are joining the fun.

Luis Garceron, who does not have a partner, bought flowers for his mother instead.
