The Philippines and South Korea vowed Tuesday to continue their "strong defense partnership" in the recently concluded 26th PH-Republic of Korea (ROK) Joint Committee Meeting on Logistics and Defense Industry Cooperation last February 7, 2025 in Busan.

Discussions of the two nations highlighted defense modernization, technology transfer, and joint initiatives aimed at enhancing regional security.

"The Republic of Korea reiterated its commitment to supporting the Philippines' ongoing military capability development, underscoring the importance of collaboration in addressing evolving security challenges," the Department of National Defense (DND) said in a statement.

Joselito Ramos, DND's assistant secretary for logistics and acquisition, emphasized the country's dedication in deepening its strategic ties with South Korea.
