<p>MANILA -- Nueva Ecija 1st Congressional District Representative Mikaela Angela “Mika” Suansing on Sunday dismissed allegations raised by Batangas 1st District Representative Leandro Legarda Leviste.</p><p>“The house leadership has always maintained as a policy as a principle to not sway any individual member to vote a certain way,” Suansing said.</p><div><a class="fr-green" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/12/26/leviste-claims-dpwh-official-offered-extra-funds-after-he-questioned-budget-system-2035"><strong>Leviste claims DPWH official offered &#x27;extra funds&#x27; after he questioned budget system </strong></a> </div><p>The allegations pertain to an alleged ₱151 million in “incentives” that Leviste claimed were offered to him by an individual who identified as being from Suansing’s office, amid the ongoing finalization of the 2026 national budget.</p><p>Suansing denied the claims and emphasized that members of the House of Representatives are free to vote and make decisions guided by the needs of their constituents and their conscience. </p><div><a class="fr-green" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/12/26/leviste-claims-allocation-for-gov-t-programs-given-as-incentives-2143"><strong>Leviste claims allocation for gov’t programs given as &#x27;incentives&#x27; </strong></a> </div><p>“The house is a collegial body, house of representatives is a collegial body.
