Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News</div>MANILA — Members of the House of Representatives do not have to wait for official guidelines to release their Statements of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth, progressive members of the chamber said.So far, only 15 of more than 300 House members have made their wealth declarations public. In contrast, all members of the smaller 24-seat Senate have released theirs to media.“Hindi po kailangang maghintay ng guidelines. Ang hamon ng Makabayan Bloc sa lahat ng mga mambabatas, even lahat ng public officials, napakadali po na isapubliko ng mga SALN natin,&quot; Kabataan Party-List Rep. Renee Co said.(There is no need to wait for the guidelines. Toby Tiangco declared total assets of P220.15 million as of June 30, 2025. With total liabilities of P6.2 million, Tiangco has a net worth of P213.9 million.Caloocan City 2nd District Rep. Edgar Erice, meanwhile, declared total assets of P115.19 million as of July 1, 2025. His total liabilities stood at P45.19 million, bringing Erice’s net worth to P70 million.“Hihingin ko pa ‘yung aking SALN sa House. Wala kasi akong hawak ngayon,&quot; Senior Citizens Party-List Rep. Rodolfo Ordanes, who said he hopes to release his by next week, said.(I need a copy from the House because I don&#x27;t have a copy right now) Mamamayang Liberal Party-List Rep. Leila De Lima meanwhile said the Ombudsman should conduct serious lifestyle checks on public officials.She also suggested creating a committee that will scrutinize SALN filings for &quot;red flags&quot; that would suggest inaccurate declarations. “Then that&#x27;s a basis for further inquiry,” she said.
