This is the annual tradition where devotees are given the chance to pray and wipe towels and handkerchiefs at the cross of the image of Jesus Christ.

Devotees say they feel much better and lighter after doing the tradition.

"Sobra nakakaiyak at nakakagaan ng pakiramdam na makalapit kasi last year hindi nakalapit sa kanya sa sobrang dami ng tao kaya nag-decide kaming mag-asawa na pumunta ng maaga," said Roan Mosatalla, a devotee.

Aside from towels, Mosatalla brought pencils that will be used by her son for the upcoming board exam for teachers.

She says her faith in Jesus Nazareno has never wavered as she had a lot of petitions that came true.

"Yung number one na milagro na ginawa ng Poong Nazareno sa akin ay yung hiniling ko na magkaroon ako ng anak na babae kase lima anak ko 4 boys, youngest ko girl. Nung nagbuntis ako hanggang nagkaanak ako itinaas ko na sa Poong Nazareno lahat ng mangyayari," she said.

Meanwhile, Eusebio Refuerzo has been a devotee for more than 50 years. He is now a stroke survivor so he continues his devotion to the Nazareno. Despite not being able to go up the Andas, he still joins Traslacion activities.

He says his life has been in danger numerous times, and says it was Jesus Nazareno who saved him.

"Ilang beses na ako muntik mabagsakan ng bareta sa ulo eh, naiwas sakin bareta. Marami na ako aksidente pero di ako namamatay, di ako natutuluyan hanggang ngayon na stroke ako at gumaling pa ako," he added.

Meanwhile, Janeth Grecio said Jesus Nazareno cures her of her illnesses. On Tuesday, she brought replicas of the Nazareno which she found in trash bins.
