MANILA -- Amid criticisms over re-electionist Senator Ramon Revilla, Jr's placement and number in the ballots, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) clarified the lawmaker changed his surname in 2009 hence his name appears as "Bong Revilla, Ramon Jr."

The Comelec said there was a decision from the Cavite Regional Trial Court in 2009 granting his prayer to change his surname to Bong Revilla.
