MANILA -- More than 20 foreign nationals apprehended for their involvement in the alleged scam hub operations in Silang, Cavite were transported to the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) detention facility in Pasay City on Wednesday evening.The group is composed of 22 Chinese nationals and six Burmese individuals, who will face formal complaints.<div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/regions/2025/1/15/28-foreign-nationals-nabbed-in-a-small-scale-pogo-hub-in-cavite-2227">READ: 28 foreign nationals nabbed in a small-scale POGO hub in Cavite</a></div>Upon arrival at the detention facility, the foreign nationals underwent biometric screening and luggage inspections.PAOCC earlier said their visas have been downgraded and should not be allowed to stay in the country much longer.Authorities had raided a private resort and events venue in Silang, Cavite on Wednesday, resulting in the arrest of foreign nationals who were caught running an online cryptocurrency scam.According to the PAOCC, the hub in Silang is one of over a hundred &quot;guerilla-type&quot; Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs) still operating despite being banned in the country.
