MANILA (UPDATE) — Almost 1.5 million participants joined the Iglesia Ni Cristo's National Peace Rally at the Quirino Grandstand as of 4 p.m. Monday, according to the Manila Police District.

Around 5,000 personnel from the PNP and 1,200 from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) were deployed to manage the crowd.
