<div><span class="fr-img-caption fr-fic fr-dib" style="width:900px"><span class="fr-img-wrap"><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1733211923169RUFA MAE.jpg" style="width:900px" class="fr-fic fr-dib"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Rufa Mae Quinto/Instagram </span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><div><br/></div><p>MANILA — Comedian Rufa Mae Quinto on Tuesday said she was “also a victim” in an alleged scam involving a derma clinic and would “seek justice” as she fought a securities violation case. </p><div><br/></div><p><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/showbiz/celebrities/2024/12/2/rufa-mae-quinto-has-arrest-warrant-lawyer-says-2302">Quinto has a warrant of arrest </a>in relation to the case filed by investors against skin care company Dermacare, her lawyer earlier said. </p><div><br/></div><p>“I have no connection whatsoever to any fraudulent activity and I categorically deny these baseless accusations,” Quinto said. </p><div><br/></div><p>“If anything, I am also a victim and I am determined to seek justice,” she said in a statement. </p><div><br/></div><p>Quinto said she would “cooperate fully with the authorities and face this issue through the proper legal forum.”</p><div><br/></div><p>“Rest assured, I will fight for my name and reputation,” she said. </p><div><br/></div><p>“To those who have extended their love and support, I am grateful. Let us allow justice to take its course, and I humbly ask for your patience and understanding as the truth unfolds,” she added. </p><div><br/></div><p>Quinto was charged with 14 counts of violation of Section 8 of the Securities Regulation Code. </p><div><br/></div><p>Actress-entrepreneur <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2024/11/27/aktres-na-negosyante-arestado-dahil-sa-estafa-securities-violation-0837">Neri Naig was earlier arrested </a>while attending a convention in Pasay City.
