MANILA — The Commission on Elections officially started Monday its roadshow of the Automated Counting Machines (ACMs), the new poll machines set to be used in the 2025 midterm elections.

Comelec chairman George Erwin Garcia led the demonstration of ACMs at the Manila High School in Intramuros and at its head office at the Palacio del Gobernador.

Registered voters from 4 barangays in Intramuros participated in the demonstration at the Manila High School while the Division heads of Comelec tried to use the ACMs at its head office.

According to Garcia, the demonstration of ACMs is happening simultaneously nationwide.

Garcia said about 2,000 ACMS were deployed for the roadshow.

Garcia said if the voter is ready with his or her list of candidates, it will only take less than a minute to finish the whole voting process using the ACM.

“Bago tayo pumunta sa presinto sa darating na halalan, meron na tayong mga kodigo. Maganda po maglista na lang tayo, pagdating sa presinto mag-she-shade na lang tayo,” Garcia added.

Garcia once again reminded voters not to cast their vote for more than 12 senators and more than 1 party-list group because it will invalidate their votes for those positions.

Voters are allowed to try inserting his or her ballot 4 times, according to Garcia.
