MANILA — President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. on Tuesday assured his administration’s full support to Filipino migrant workers as he led the inauguration of a one-stop service center for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families.

The facility, located in the new Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Makati Building along Malugay Street in Brgy. Bel-Air, Makati City, will be called Agarang Kalinga at Saklolo para sa mga OFW na Nangangailangan (AKSYON) Center, and houses key services of the DMW and other partners in government.

It offers full-cycle support and assistance for all overseas OFWs and their families, from their departure from the country, throughout their overseas employment, and until their return and reintegration to the country.

Among the major frontline services offered in the AKSYON Center are: Balik-Manggagawa processing, reintegration support services, legal assistance, and other necessary support through the DMW AKSYON Fund.

OFWs can also avail of the services of other government agencies such as the Social Security System (SSS), PAGIBIG Fund, PhilHealth, and TESDA.

Meanwhile, OFWs and their families can also enjoy free coffee and snacks at the Migrant’s Brew Cafe while making their transactions at the AKSYON Center.

OFW Ronnie Igama, who had worked 10 years in Xiamen, China as a chef, lauded the one-stop shop services provided by the AKSYON Center.

Hindi katulad ngayon na maaayos nalang sa isang araw, dalawang araw," he said.

Marcos meanwhile paid tribute to the sacrifices and contributions of OFWs to the country as he reiterated his commitment to provide better services and more employment opportunities in the Philippines.
