Leila De Lima, a lawyer and former justice secretary, said the recent actions and tirades of Vice President Sara Duterte could be included as basis for an impeachment complaint and disbarment case against her.

She said a potential impeachment complaint might be anchored on betrayal of public trust because of alleged irregularities in the use of confidential funds allocated to the Office of the Vice President and the Department of Education, an issue that a House panel is already investigating.

De Lima said Duterte's remarks and threats against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and House Speaker Martin Romualdez could also lead to criminal charges.
