MANILA -- Vice President Sara Duterte lashed out at President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Marcos, and House Speaker Martin Romualdez in an expletive-filled press conference early morning on Saturday.

Duterte accused the First Lady of corruption and alleged that the on-going House of Representatives probe on the use of confidential funds of the Office of the Vice President (OVP) and the Department of Education (DepEd) stems from Romuladez's supposed interest to run for president in 2028.

She also claimed that she has contracted an assassin to kill Marcos Jr., should a plot against her succeed. Malacañang has described Duterte's statement as an "active threat."

"P*t*ng *n* ninyong lahat! Martin Romualdez, Liza Marcos, Bongbong Marcos," Duterte said.

Duterte called the press conference after the House of Representatives ordered her chief of staff, Atty. Zuleika Lopez, to be transferred to the Women's Correctional Institution in Mandaluyong City.

Lopez was subsequently brought to the St. Luke's Medical Center in Quezon City before being returned to the Veterans Memorial Medical Center following a House order on Saturday.

Duterte quit as DepEd secretary in June amid a falling out with Marcos Jr.

Tensions have risen between the Marcos and Duterte families in recent months, with former President Rodrigo Duterte once accusing Marcos Jr. of being a "drug addict." The next day, the president claimed that the elder Duterte's health was failing due to long-term use of the powerful opioid fentanyl.

Neither provided evidence of their allegations.
