MANILA – The Makati local government has formally opened the Makati Life Medical Center, which has various and comprehensive hospital services including specialized clinics.

According to the local government, the hospital offers imaging services like MRI, CT Scan, 3D Mammogram, Ultrasound, and X-Ray. Patients can also access Cardiovascular Exams including 2D Echo, ECG, and 24-hour BP Monitoring.

It also offers “expanded inpatient and specialized services” such as 24-hour emergency care, elective and emergency surgical capabilities, and intensive care.

The hospital ward has 72 beds available so far, based on the release.

"When we first dreamed of Makati Life, we weren't just planning another hospital. We reimagined what is possible when government purpose meets private sector agility. When compassion meets innovation. When we refuse to accept that any Filipino deserves less than first-class care," said Makati Mayor Abby Binay during its formal launching ceremony on Thursday.

“We are establishing the standard by which all government healthcare must now be measured. We're declaring that excellence in medicine isn't for the privileged few—it's the right of every Filipino citizen,” she added.

Yellow Card holders in Makati will receive all services and medicine “free of charge” according to the local government.

This includes: 24/7 primary care and emergency services; advanced diagnostics (MRI, CT scan, ultrasound); specialized clinics (cardiology, neurology, pediatrics, OB-GYN, geriatrics); same-day laboratory results; preventive care including vaccinations and screenings; maternal and child health services; chronic disease management; minor surgical procedures; rehabilitation therapy; and telemedicine follow-ups.

The P9.77-billion Makati Life Medical Center is considered as the country's biggest public-private partnership (PPP) hospital.

It partially started its operations in May 2023.
