MANILA — Philippine Airlines (PAL) will fly between Manila and Vietnam's rising tourist destination of Da Nang starting July, with an initial schedule of three flights per week.

PAL said the Manila-Da Nang route is its third major expansion move in Vietnam this year, after upgrading its Manila-Hanoi-Manila route to a daily service, and flights between Cebu and Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) starting on May 2.

“PAL is committed to offering greater connectivity and promoting tourism and commerce between our capital city and the central Vietnamese heartland. We look forward to welcoming more leisure and business travelers onboard our flights to Da Nang,” said PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Capt. Stanley Ng.

PAL said Da Nang is known for its rich history, picturesque beaches, and modern attractions.

"It is a lively coastal city situated close to renowned landmarks like the Marble Mountains and Golden Bridge. Da Nang is also an accessible gateway to several UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the Old Town of Hoi An, the archeological ruins of My Son and the fabled Imperial City of Hue," the airline said.

PAL will fly from NAIA every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, deploying Airbus A321 jetliners that accommodate up to 199 passengers.
