MANILA -- UnionBank said it is seeing significant growth in its credit card business following the completion of Citi’s integration last year.

She did not disclose the number of credit card users they now have, but said UnionBank is now the third-largest credit card issuer in the country. Bank officials also mentioned back in 2024 that they were getting about 50,000 new credit card users per month, up from the previous 23,000 per month in 2023. Customer base hit 17.3 million in 2024, up from 4.7 million in 2019. Digital customers also significantly grew to 5.1 million last year. This helped them reach revenues of P79.5 billion last year.
