MANILA -- Ayala-led AC Health plans to become a $2 billion enterprise by 2035 as it sees huge opportunities in the healthcare sector in the Philippines.

AC Health President and CEO Paolo Borromeo said it plans to buy about 4 more hospitals, over 60 additional clinics, and to add nearly 300 more pharmacies in the coming years.

AC Health, the healthcare arm of the Ayala Group, is celebrating its 10th year this year and currently has 6 hospitals with a total of over 800 beds, 236 corporate and multi-specialty clinics, and 880 pharmacies. By 2030, it plans to serve 1 in every 5 Filipinos.

The company started in 2015 with its purchase of Generika Drugstore and had since bought more health-related firms such as Healthway Clinics in 2019, I.E. Medica and MedEthix in 2020, Qualimed in 2021, up to St. Joseph Drug last year.

In 2024, AC Health hit P9.4 billon in revenues or 10 percent higher than previous year. So far in 10 years Ayala has invested P14-15 billion in AC Health.
