MANILA -- Ayala Land said it is planning to create a unique project in the ABS-CBN property it acquired in Quezon City.

The property titan, however, has not revealed specific details of the project. Ayala Land President and CEO Anna Ma. Margarita Dy said they are still finalizing the plans on their recent purchase, and no timeline has been disclosed.

“It’s still currently under planning. We would like to make something unique in that area, given it’s quite a busy area and there are a few other developments there,” Dy said.

Ayala Land officials said the purchase of the P6.2 billion 30,000 sqm property from ABS-CBN was a strategic move. The company already has over 10,000 hectares of banked land, and Dy said they will not aggressively buy more land for now. However, she said the ABS-CBN property was what they needed in the area.

“We’re not saying we’re not buying any land at all. We spoke about the ABS-CBN property, for example. If there are strategic purchases in areas we feel we don’t have enough inventory, we would make acquisitions,” Dy said.

Both companies announced in February 2025 that they had signed a deal for the sale of a portion of the media company’s property in Quezon City.
