Hong Kong’s Chairman, another former No. 1 restaurant, came in second, Hong Kong’s Wing is third, Tokyo’s Sezanne, last year’s No. 1, landed the fourth position and South Korea’s Mingles, the restaurant that recently just earned its third Michelin star, at fifth.

Toyo Eatery is the lone Philippine restaurant on the best 50 list again this year at 42. Manila’s Toyo Eatery has also  been named the winner of the Gin Mare Art of Hospitality Award 2025, an award voted for by the 350-plus members of the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Academy, who were each asked to name the one establishment that has provided the best hospitality experience in the last 18 months.

The late Filipina chef Margarita Forés has been posthumously awarded the Woodford Reserve Icon Award 2025 (the first posthumous award ever given) with her son Amado Fores accepting the award.
