(UPDATED) Good news, Kapamilya!

The MRT-3 has extended the operating hours of its trains Mondays to Fridays by 1 hour in the evening.

Starting March 24, the MRT North Avenue station for southbound trips will now close at 10:25 p.m. while the Taft Avenue station for northbound trips will close at 11:04 p.m.

Regular services during weekends will be implemented to give the trains its required regular maintenance.

The last commercial train departing North Avenue is at 9:30 PM while the last train leaving Taft Avenue is at 10:09 PM.

Updated signages in all 13 stations are installed to guide commuters regarding the new train operating schedules.

The MRT-3 will also add more coaches on the line during peak hours.

Dizon earlier called for an extension of MRT operations by 1 hour in the evening to accommodate more passengers.
