MANILA -- Cebu Pacific flew 2.6 million passengers in January, up 33.4 percent from the numbers seen in January 2024, the budget carrier said in a statement.

The airline noted that domestic passenger traffic grew by 34.6 percent from last year's numbers, because of strong holiday demand. 

Cebu Pacific noted that there were 37 percent more seats this year because it had more frequencies and new routes.

The airline noted that its domestic network grew to 84 local destinations in 2024, from 68 in 2023. Cebu Pacific said it flew about 2,912 flights, higher than the 2,260 the year before. 

International flights, meanwhile, climbed by 29.9 percent as seats grew by 17 percent. The low-cost airline said its international network rose to 40 routes from 36 in 2023. There were 648 weekly flights, up 16 percent from 561 weekly flights same period the prior year.
