<div> </div>MANILA -- Residential property prices in the Philippines decelerated significantly in the third quarter of 2025, central bank data showed, as growth in the housing sector moderated from a surge earlier in the year.The Residential Real Estate Price Index rose just 1.9 percent year-on-year in the July-September period, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas reported. This represents a marked slowdown from the 7.5 percent expansion recorded in the second quarter.Prices in the National Capital Region outpaced the rest of the country, rising 2.3 percent. In contrast, areas outside the capital region saw a more modest increase of 1.6 percent, BSP data showed.The data also revealed a divergence in performance across housing types. Prices for single-detached houses, apartments, and townhouses grew by 1.9 percent—a steep drop from the double-digit 13.1 percent growth seen in the previous three months.However, the condominium market showed signs of a turnaround. Condo unit prices climbed 1.4 percent, rebounding from a 0.2 percent contraction in the second quarter.The BSP tracks these figures based on actual housing loans granted by banks to assess the stability of the country&#x27;s real estate and credit markets.
