MANILA -- Ride-hailing service inDrive on Thursday said it will not tolerate any safety violations of its drivers following an accident involving a vehicle registered in the app.In a statement, inDrive said it is investigating the incident, and has reached out to the family involved in the incident.&quot;We are aware of the recent vehicular accident that happened on Sumulong Highway, and we are concerned for the well-being of the family involved. We are relieved to confirm that there were no fatalities as a result of this incident,&quot; it said.&quot;We have also reached out to the affected family to offer assistance and support as we continue to look into the circumstances surrounding the incident,&quot; it added.According to inDrive, sharing of accounts or allowing other individuals to operate a vehicle under an inDrive account is strictly prohibited, and is considered a serious safety violation. Should it be proven, the account involved may be permanently banned from the platform.inDrive likewise said it is implementing multiple safeguards to ensure the identity of its drivers, so as to ensure the safety of both passengers and drivers.&quot;We will NEVER TOLERATE ANY FORM OF SAFETY VIOLATIONS. As we review this incident, we are reinforcing reminders to our partner drivers on strict safety compliance and account security protocols,&quot; it said.In a social media post, a woman said she and her family figured in an accident due to the reckless driving of the driver of the vehicle she booked through the inDrive app.The vehicle even crashed into the back of a parked vehicle, causing minor injuries to the woman and her children.The woman added that they later learned that the driver was not the registered driver in the inDrive app and that he did not have a license at the time of the incident.
