<div><br/></div><p>MANILA — In a sector often left out of property headlines, Forest Lake Memorial Parks is quietly posting one of the strongest growth stories in Philippine real estate — expanding from 10 parks in 2016 to 41 today, with a target of 50 memorial parks by 2025, according to its President and CEO Alby Xerez Burgos.</p><p>“Right now, we’re the leading memorial park developer at 41 parks. By end of next year, we’ll be closer to 50,” Burgos said on Market Edge.</p><p>Despite inflation and soaring property prices, Burgos said Forest Lake’s business remains resilient. The company focuses on key provincial cities, steering clear of Metro Manila’s saturated market.</p><p>“We’re really concentrating on the countryside… with certain population density, accessibility, and affordable land,” he added.</p><div><strong>Affordable memorials</strong></div><p>Forest Lake’s entry-level plots start at P45,000, payable over five years — a pricing model Burgos calls “a dignified service for every Filipino.”</p><p>The affordability has fueled steady sales. “Practically anyone with a job can afford it,” Burgos said.</p><p>According to Colliers Philippines, niche property segments like memorial parks are expected to grow by 8 percent in 2025, but Forest Lake has already outperformed the sector — growing 20 percent annually in revenues since 2020.</p><div><strong>IPO in the works</strong></div><p>When asked about a possible public listing, Burgos confirmed that Forest Lake is preparing for an IPO, though he stopped short of confirming a timeline. “We are preparing… but I’m not at liberty to say if we’re ready to pull the trigger,” he said.</p><p>Currently, 70 percent of Forest Lake’s revenues come from Luzon, with 30 percent from Visayas and Mindanao. Burgos said land acquisition remains easier in Luzon, though they continue scouting new sites nationwide.</p><p>Amid challenges in land access and bureaucracy, Burgos urged government to keep infrastructure development going to sustain business growth.</p><p>“Infrastructure development has to continue.
