MANILA -- Home Credit Philippines said it made P61 billion in point-of-sale (POS) sales in 2024, a record for the consumer finance company.

Home Credit said this is 19 percent higher than the POS sales it made in 2023.

In a statement, the company said it funded the purchase of 2.91 million items, most of which are mobile phones, appliances, computers, and furniture.

Home Credit said mobile phones and tablets generated P31.7 billion in POS sales, making up 52 percent of the firm's total POS sales volume. Apple, Samsung, Vivo, OPPO, and Honor were the top choices of Filipino consumers, the company said.

Appliances contributed P10.2 billion in sales, with Panasonic, Condura, Samsung, LG, and Fujidenzo emerging as the top brands.

Computers produced P7.1 billion in sales, from popular brands like Acer, Asus, Lenovo, HP, and Huawei.

TVs and electronics saw P6.6 billion in POS sales. Most of these were bought from Samsung, TCL, LG, Sony, and Skyworth.

Furniture, meanwhile, accounted for P1.8 billion in sales. San-Yang, Uratex, Infinite, and Dewfoam were the top furniture brands.

Home Credit said its zero percent installment financing helped drive its growth last year.

“At Home Credit, the growth we have experienced goes beyond just numbers. It reflects the lives we have empowered by providing accessible financial solutions that help our customers live the lives they deserve," said chief sales officer Puneet Suneja.
