MANILA — Prices could go up for gasoline and decrease for diesel and kerosene in the first week of February, the Department of Energy said Friday.

The following mixed oil price movement is expected next week, said DOE's Oil Industry Management Bureau director Assistant Director Rodela Romero.

Gasoline - P0.40 to P0.70 per liter increase
Diesel - P1.30 to 1.50 per liter decrease
Kerosene - P0.85 to P1 per liter decrease

Romero said factors for the price adjustment include an increase in US oil inventory, US President Donald Trump’s tariff threats against Mexico and Canada, and the Chinese New Year.
