MANILA – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday underscored the government’s efforts to provide quality jobs to Filipinos as he graced the second day of the Jobstreet Career Con 2025 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.

“Medyo pilot project ito. Kung maganda ang maging resulta, ang plano talaga namin ay gagawa kami ng ganito bawat buwan para mapuntahan. Hindi lamang dito sa Maynila kung hindi sa iba’t ibang lugar din. At para naman kahit na hindi na – para hindi na kailangan mapunta rito sa Maynila, sa NCR at puntahan natin ‘yung mga nais mag-apply sa iba’t ibang probinsya sa labas,” he said.

Kaya’t naging mahalaga ‘yung tinatawag po na reskilling na binibigyan po natin ng bagong kakayahan; o upskilling, pinapagaling pa natin doon sa kanilang ginagawa na,” he said.

At least 18,000 Filipino jobseekers are expected to participate in the two-day Career Con, where they can apply for at least 5,000 local and overseas jobs from over a hundred employers from various industries, such as tourism and IT-BPM, among others.
