A Filipino brand has been included in a New York Times article about the best instant noodles of 2025.

Lucky Me's Pancit Canton Kalamansi was one of the top picks in the citrusy ramen category, along with the Shrimp Tom Yum Noodles of Mama, a Thai brand.

"Of all the noodles we've tested, the Pancit Canton Kalamansi disappeared from the bowl the fastest. Sure, it's a small serving, but the quiet mmm's and ahh's were telling. The dry seasoning, soy sauce, and oil packets combine to produce a nuanced blend of light soy and fresh, aromatic citrus," said New York Times writer Marilyn Ong.

"The noodles are skinnier and more extra-curly than even your standard cheap ramen, so they had almost a fluffy feel. I definitely called them 'cute' while eating them," she added.

The list of 16 Best Instant Noodles of 2025 on The New York Times spanned different categories: beef noodle soups, for spice lovers, seafood flavors, saucy or creamy noodles, seriously extreme spice, and simple base noodles.

It included brands from across Asia such as Taiwan's A-Sha, South Korea's Nongshim, Singapore's Prima Taste, and Indonesia's Indomie, among others.

The Top 16 were selected after a series of taste tests and consultations with experts such as cookbook authors and ramen shop owners.
