MANILA — Philippine Airlines is adding more flights to its Clark-Busuanga route beginning March.

Busuanga in Northern Palawan, is the gateway to the popular resort town of Coron, which is famous for its beaches, coral reefs, and limestone island cliffs which are frequented by scuba divers and snorkelers.

"PAL’s expanded Clark-Busuanga and Busuanga-Clark services will increase the current four weekly flights to seven, in response to the growing demand for leisure travel to Northern Palawan," the airline said.

PAL Express President Rabbi Vincent Ang said the upgrade to daily flights for the route will help make fares more affordable and travel more convenient for both foreign and domestic tourists, in time for the summer travel season.

With the daily Clark-Busuanga service, PAL will have a total of 42 weekly flights to Busuanga as the flag carrier flies three times daily between Manila and Busuanga, as well as twice daily between Cebu and Busuanga.

PAL uses the 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next Generation aircraft for the Clark-Busuanga flights.

The flag carrier has been expanding its domestic and international routes. It recently added the Cebu-Catarman route this year. Last year it launched its non-stop Manila-Seattle route.
