MANILA—Philippine Airlines has relaunched its Clark-Siargao route. PAL said it is mounting thrice-weekly flights between Clark and Siargao using its 86-seater De Havilland Dash 8-400 Next Generation aircraft.

“Our thrice weekly service will provide ease and convenience for residents and tourists in Central and Northern Luzon since there is no need for land travel to Metro Manila to connect to Siargao. Residents of the island will be able to explore other parts of the country via our flights out of Clark,” said PAL Express President Rabbi Vincent Ang.

PAL said flights depart from Clark every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 11 a.m. and arrive in Siargao at 1:05 p.m. Flights also depart from Siargao every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 1:35 p.m. and arrive in Clark at 3:40 p.m.

The relaunched route complements PAL’s existing twice-daily flights to Siargao from Manila and Cebu, for a total PAL service of 31 weekly flights to Siargao.

Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corporation (LIPAD), which manages and operates Clark airport, said the relaunch of the route was just in time for the holiday season.

"What a wonderful idea it will be to spend the holidays by the beach,” said Noel Manankil, President and CEO of LIPAD Corp.

Siargao is one of the most popular surfing spots in the Philippines and boasts of pristine beaches, coral reefs and laid-back island life.
