In a statement, the ride-hailing super app said the 1.5-hectare Grab Asenso Center will replace Grab Partner Centers and will be used to train riders in road safety, and enhance their skills as drivers.

The hub will also cater to Grab's partner-merchants in order to help them boost their digital skills.

The center also has bigger spaces for onboarding more drivers.

Grab said this is part of their push to create 500,000 jobs in the Philippines.

"The Grab Asenso Center will ensure our partners - whether drivers, riders, or merchants - are equipped to succeed in today’s digital-first economy," said Grab Philippines country director Ronald Roda.

"This facility represents our commitment to uplift communities and empower everyday entrepreneurs to thrive," he added.

For his part, Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista said the Grab Asenso Center modernizes mobility while creating more quality jobs for transport workers.

The Grab Asenso Center will be fully operational in the first quarter of 2025.
