Carinderias or cafeterias, are traditional Filipino eateries usually found near residential areas or markets. There are even areas that have carinderias in every street and corner. However, some aspects of their ambiance have led people to seek alternative dining experiences; as some would think about their limited seating capacity, the crowds that occupy the space during lunch, and the lack of proper ventilation—leading to a not-so-remarkable and often unenjoyable dining experience—are some of the reasons why some would prefer to go to big restaurants for their comfort.

Moreover, to ensure that the carinderias become aesthetically pretty and social media worthy, pulse fans and Pepsi graffiti painted by local artists from Davao will be spread all over the place to encourage customers to take photos and share their experience to promote the local business.
