Is Sual, Pangasinan Mayor Liseldo “Dong” Calugay the boyfriend of dismissesd Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo?

This was the question of senators during the hearing of the Senate Subcommittee on Justice and Human Rights on Thursday. 

“Wala ba silang boyfriend-girlfriend relationship?” Senator Sherwin Gatchalian asked Shiela Guo during the hearing.

Shiela is the Chinese earlier believed to be the sister of Guo.

“Sabi niya (Alice) kaibigan po,” Shiela said.

She also does not know if the two are business partners.

According to Shiela, she met Calugay two or three times when she accompanied Alice.

Gatchalian said he received information that the business Alisel Aqua Farm in Sual is the combination of the names Alice and Liseldo.

The Senate Subcommittee hearing was suspended for a while and after it resumed, Hontiveros said they were able to establish a link.

“I wish to share executive session surfaced clear link to Mayor Calugay of Sual, Pangasinan kaya I really, really hope the good mayor will make himself available when he is called,” Hontiveros said. “Huwag po sanang bigla kayong umalis ng bansa, mayor.”

Calugay was invited to the hearing but he supposedly has dengue.
