<p>MANILA — There is no evidence of collusion between Bureau of Immigration (BI) personnel and former Bamban town Mayor Alice Guo to help her escape the country, the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) said Thursday.</p><p>&quot;We have not found any evidence either way with regard to any possible liability as far as the Bureau of Immigration is concerned,&quot; PAOCC spokesperson Winston Casio said in a statement, adding that there is also no evidence that Guo went through an immigration office.  </p><p>Casio cited the testimony of Guo&#x27;s alleged sister Shiela, who told a Senate panel that she, Guo, and their brother Wesley <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/8/27/-alice-guo-siblings-fled-philippines-via-small-boat-sister-1135">fled the Philippines using a small boat</a>.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/9/5/alice-guo-s-brother-wesley-willing-to-surrender-lawyer-1202" id="isPasted">READ: Alice Guo&#x27;s brother Wesley willing to surrender: lawyer</a></div><p>&quot;Chances are there was no immigration personnel who accommodated or facilitated her getting out of the Philippines. But again, that was the testimony of Shiela. We’d have to listen to the testimony of Alice,&quot; Casio said.</p><p>Casio made the statement after Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla accused the immigration bureau of aiding Guo&#x27;s getaway, despite a congressional investigation into her alleged crimes related to illegal gambling operations in her town.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/9/4/remulla-accuses-immigration-personnel-of-colluding-with-guo-1323" id="isPasted">READ: Remulla accuses Immigration personnel of colluding with Guo</a></div><p>Shiela, along with Cassandra Ong, the representative of the shuttered Lucky South 99 gambling hub, were arrested in Indonesia late last month. </p><p>Less than 2 weeks later, <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/9/3/alice-guo-arrested-in-indonesia-740">Alice was arrested</a> by Indonesian authorities in Tangerang City in the province of Banten late Tuesday. She is expected to return to the Philippines along with Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos and Philippine National Police Chief PGen. Rommel Marbil on Thursday night.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/9/5/alice-guo-to-be-back-in-ph-on-thursday-night-senator-1132" id="isPasted">READ: Alice Guo returning to Philippines on Thursday night: senator</a></div><p>In his Wednesday statement, Remulla hit BI chief Norman Tansingco for allegedly failing to notify the Department of Justice of the developments in the search for Guo and other individuals.</p><div><span></span></div><p>Tansingco however pointed out in the BI statement that upon learning of Guo&#x27;s arrival in Indonesia, he sent information to Indonesian Immigration that she was the subject of a &quot;mission order&quot; issued by the BI, which led to her eventual arrest.</p><p>Guo was accused of undesirability and misrepresentation for allegedly acquiring her Filipino citizenship through fraudulent means, Tansingco said.</p><p>President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. earlier said <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/8/20/marcos-says-heads-will-roll-over-alice-guo-departure-646">heads would roll</a> after Guo&#x27;s departure, stressing that those who helped her pass through the country&#x27;s borders <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/9/4/marcos-vows-to-file-charges-vs-those-who-helped-alice-guo-flee-ph-2051">would face charges.</a> </p><p>Guo has denied her alleged links to POGOs and insisted that she is a Filipino. </p><p>But while Guo appeared to lack a valid Chinese passport, she had one previously, said BI Spokesperson Dana Sandoval. </p><p>“Si Alice Guo po wala tayong nakikita na may indication na may valid Chinese passport  but as nakita natin doon sa mga investigation, nagkaroon po siya ng Chinese passport, contrary to what is written in her birth certificate and other documentation na nagsasabi na isa siyang Filipino na ‘pinanganak po sa Pilipinas,” Sandoval told ABS-CBN News. </p><p>-- With a report from Johnson Manabat, ABS-CBN News </p><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO:</strong></div><div><strong><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hp3Tl4q0kQo?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span></strong><br/></div>
