MANILA — Shiela Guo, the supposed "sister" of dismissed Bamban, Tarlac mayor Alice Guo, was released from Senate custody on Tuesday after the Committee on Women investigating illegal POGOs lifted the contempt order against her.

“Shiela Guo, the Senate’s contempt order on you is lifted and I direct the OSAA (Office of Senate Sergeant-at-Arms) to transfer your custody to the [Bureau of Immigration] pursuant to the mission order issued by the Bureau against you,” said Sen. Risa Hontiveros, chairperson of the panel.

Shiela was cited in contempt and ordered arrested on July 13, along with Alice and other individuals, for their failure to attend its probe.

It was later discovered that the Guo siblings had fled the Philippines in the same week.

Shiela was arrested in Batam, Indonesia in August, and was turned over to Senate to attend its hearings. She faces complaints before the BI for alleged immigration violations.
