The Philippine Coast Guard turned them over to the Bureau of Immigration on Friday, Sept. 20, 2024. <em id="isPasted">Coast Guard Investigation and Detection Management Service</em></span></span></span></div><div><br/></div><p>MANILA — The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) this week turned over seven Chinese nationals who allegedly violated Philippine immigration laws to the Bureau of Immigration (BI) detention facility in Manila, the PCG said Sunday.</p><p>The PCG said in a statement that the foreigners face charges related to unlawful entry and immigration violations, which were filed during the inquest and preliminary investigation at the BI.</p><p>The Chinese nationals were already charged with two prior cases before the Navotas City Prosecutor&#x27;s Office on September 17, according to the PCG. </p><p>While legal proceedings are ongoing, the PCG said the BI would take custody of the Chinese nationals.</p><p>It said the PCG&#x27;s investigation and detection management service would maintain joint custody when directed by the Navotas Regional Trial Court.</p><p>This is to ensure that all legal protocols are followed throughout the process, the PCG noted.</p><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO:</strong></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/YOdpTm0X3rA?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div>
