MANILA (UPDATED) — All classes in public and private schools, as well as government work will be suspended in Metro Manila and Calabarzon on Tuesday, Sept. 3, Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin announced on Monday.

According to Memorandum Circular No. 63, signed by Bersamin, work in government offices and classes in all levels are suspended “to ensure the safety of the general public”.
