MANILA — The Ramon Magsaysay Awards Foundation announced the recipients of the 2024 awards on Saturday, with honorees including influential Japanese animator Miyazaki Hayao as well as advocates in education and in healthcare.

Among this year’s honorees is Farwiza Farhan from Indonesia, who has played a significant role as an advocate for environmental conservation.
