MMDA tells motorists to take other routes during Yulo's parade

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has advised motorists to make the necessary adjustments when the City of Manila holds its hero's welcome for two-time Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo on Tuesday.

Yulo, who is coming from a successful campaign in Paris Olympics, will be feted with a "Hero's Grand Homecoming Parade" around Manila.

Joining Yulo in the parade are Olympic bronze medalists Nesthy Petecio and Aira Villegas and their Olympic teammates.

The MMDA said the parade will take place at 3 p.m.

The route of the parade:

  • • Philippine International Convention Center (PICC)
  • • V. Sotto Center Island, turning left to
  • • Roxas BIvd. turning right to
  • • P. Burgos Avenue, heading straight to
  • • Finance Road- heading straight to
  • • Ayala Blvd.,- heading straight to
  • • Casal St.- didiretso sa
  • • Legarda St.- turning right to
  • • Mendiola St.- turning right to
  • • Jose Laurel St until it reaches its destination.

"Magpapatupad ang MMDA ng stop-and-go scheme sa mga pangunahing lugar kung saan dadaan ang parada," the MMDA said.

The MMDA, meanwhile, advised motorists to take the alternate routes:

Northbound towards R10

  • • Roxas Blvd. Service Road
  • • Taft Avenue
  • • F.B. Harrison Street
  • • A. Mabini Street

Southbound

  • • T.M Kalaw
  • • U.N. Avenue
