MANILA — Government employees can get their midyear bonus starting May 15, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) said Thursday.

In a statement, the budget department said both civilian and military personnel are entitled to the bonus, as long as they have worked for a total or aggregate of four months from July 1, 2024 to May 15 this year.

They must also have received a satsifactory performance rating, and must have remained in government service as of May 15.

The budget for the midyear bonus of government employees is at P63.695 billion. Of this, P47.587 billion is for civilian personnel, while P16.108 is for military and uniformed personnel.

Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman urged heads of government agencies to quickly give the midyear bonuses to their employees.

"Ang pondo po para sa mid-year bonus ay komprehensibo na pong nai-release ng DBM sa mga implementing agencies noong pang January 2025," she said.
