<div><span dir="ltr" id="isPasted"></span></div><p>MANILA -- The Department of Foreign Affairs on Sunday called out China’s Foreign Ministry for “misrepresenting” the PH-China arrangement for rotation and resupply missions (RORE). </p><p>In a statement, the DFA reiterated the country’s legal rights to conduct the RORE, as well as to keep BRP Sierra Madre in Ayungin Shoal. </p><p>&quot;It is unfortunate that the MFA Spokesperson has mischaracterized the Philippines&#x27; RORE mission yesterday morning,&quot; said DFA spokesperson <span dir="ltr">Teresita &quot;Tess&quot; Daza.</span></p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/7/21/ph-has-agreed-with-china-on-arrangement-for-resupplying-troops-on-ayungin-shoal-1839" id="isPasted">PH, China reach &#x27;arrangement&#x27; for resupply missions on Ayungin Shoal</a> </div><p>&quot;Instead of acknowledging how two countries were able to manage differences in order to avoid miscalculation and misunderstanding, the spokesperson chose to misrepresent what has been agreed between the Philippines and China regarding RORE missions in Ayungin Shoal.&quot; </p><p>Daza asserted that the understanding between the Philippines and China was concluded in good faith with the explicit agreement that it will not prejudice national positions. </p><p>&quot;It is not helpful to keep giving false notions about what has been agreed on and how they were implemented,&quot; she said.</p><p>Daza added that the Philippines&#x27; core positions on West Philippine Sea issues remain clear and consistent, including as regards to the country&#x27;s legally-settled maritime entitlements and the Philippines lawful right to conduct routine activities within its own exclusive economic zone (EEZ). </p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/7/22/philippines-to-continue-to-assert-rights-after-deal-with-china-on-resupply-missions-says-dfa-1100" id="isPasted">Philippines to ‘continue to assert rights’ after China deal on resupply missions: DFA </a> </div><p>&quot;The BRP Sierra Madre is a commissioned naval vessel and its presence in Ayungin Shoal is well within the Philippines&#x27; sovereign rights and jurisdiction,&quot; she said. </p><p>&quot;The Philippines will remain committed to the peaceful settlement of disputes, including through dialogue and consultation, and will honor the understanding on RORE missions.
