MANILA — The Office of the Vice President (OVP) on Thursday said it has begun its relief operations for Filipinos hit by Typhoon Carina which caused massive flooding in several parts of the Philippines' capital region.

The OVP initially mobilized its Kalusugan Food Truck on Wednesday to distribute arroz caldo to 240 disaster responders in Quezon City.

After that, the OVP started distributing relief bags to 300 families who are sheltering in Manresa Covered Court in the same city.

"Ang mga relief boxes ay naglalaman ng pangunahing pangangailangan ng pamilya tulad ng banig, kumot, kulambo, hygiene kits, tsinelas at collapsible water container," the OVP said.
