MANILA -- The Marikina River water level has been lowered to the second alarm as of Wednesday evening, the Marikina Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) said.

Residents near the Marikina River were ordered to evacuate early Wednesday after the water level reached 16-meters.
