<p>MANILA — The Department of Justice Task Force on Women and Children and Against Trafficking in Persons has recommended the filing of qualified trafficking and online sexual abuse charges against a mother in Mabalacat City, Pampanga who allegedly sold lewd videos of her minor daughter.</p><p>In the inquest resolution of the DOJ dated May 9, 2024, charges of violation of Republic Act No. 9208 or Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act and Republic Act No. 11930 or the Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children Act will be filed in court against the mother. </p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/2/13/gov-t-reminds-social-media-platforms-telcos-of-responsibility-vs-sexual-content-1922">READ: Gov’t reminds social media platforms, telcos of responsibility vs sexual content</a></div><p>Acting as complainant in the case is the Philippine National Police-Women and Children Protection Center - Luzon Field Unit.</p><p>On May 7, 2024, the PNP entrapment operation team rushed to the woman&#x27;s house, where she was caught in a videocall showing her daughter taking a bath in their bathroom.</p><p>Prosecution Attorney <span id="isPasted" style="color:rgb(65, 65, 65);letter-spacing:normal;orphans:2;text-align:left;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none;widows:2;word-spacing:0px;-webkit-text-stroke-width:0px;white-space:normal;background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);text-decoration-thickness:initial;text-decoration-style:initial;text-decoration-color:initial;display:inline !important;float:none">Criselda Teoxon-Yanga</span> said in the inquest resolution that the woman &quot;committed qualified trafficking by offering the production and creation of pornographic and sexual exploitation of the victim&quot; in exchange for $50 from viewers.</p><p>Prosecutor General Benedict Malcontento approved the resolution.</p><p>In a statement, Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla issued a stern warning against human traffickers who continue to prey on innocent minors.</p><p> “The government will never relent in fighting those who exploit these fragile treasures of society, they are the worst enemies of the State,” he said.</p><div><br/></div><div><strong>RELATED VIDEO: </strong></div><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/yxyjh3t8Xlg?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div>
