MANILA -- The three-day strike by the transport group Manibela concluded on Wednesday evening with a rally along the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard.

The group began their protest on Monday, demanding that the government and transport authorities grant unconsolidated jeepney drivers and operators an additional year of provisional authority following the April 30 deadline for consolidation.

The protestors occupied two lanes of Roxas Boulevard, leading to slow-moving traffic in the area. Pasay Police were present to maintain peace and order.

Manibela's chairman, Mar Valbuena, stated that the group is still deliberating whether to extend their protest actions until Friday.
