After being shot, the victim maneuvered the vehicle to the right corner of the ESDA Ayala tunnel, but lost control and collided with several motorcycles.

Rider Allan Pallorina recalled what he saw.

“Pa-tunnel na sila ate, yung bumaril daw sa kanila na Mercedes Benz na kulay itim binaril mo si kuya napatay mo tapos pa ibabaw ka daw. Nagkagitgitan daw sila di nagka-bigayan tapos namaril ka na,” he said.

Another rider, Kennedy Valdez said the female passenger of the white multi purpose vehicle sought their help after the incident.

Responding authorities recovered a fired cartridge, which will undergo ballistic examination.

The Makati Police is reviewing CCTV footage from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and coordinating with the Land Transportation Office to identify the owner of the vehicle used by the gunman.

The incident caused a huge traffic mess along EDSA southbound as the authorities closed the Ayala tunnel as they were processing the crime scene.

The tunnel was opened to motorists again by 4 p.m.
