Filipino-American Melody Feliciano Johnson faces up to two years in prison in Arizona for attempted murder of her husband in 2023.

The 41-year-old admitted before a superior court on April 8 that she tried to poison her husband Roby Johnson, on two separate occasions last year by putting bleach in their coffee maker.

Local TV station KGUN was in court at the plea hearing.

Johnson, who initially faced charges of attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault - accepted a plea agreement for the incidents, which were captured on home surveillance.

Prosecutors said her husband, who works for the U.S. Air Force, provided the videos that he secretly recorded inside their home after he started noticing his coffee was tasting bad.

The couple has one child, and is going through a divorce. A few weeks later, Roby Johnson told police he started testing his coffee.

Johnson was arrested in August and was indicted on first-degree attempted murder.

Aside from jail time, the Fil-Am was also given a fine of $150,000 and at least three years' probation under the plea agreement.

Her sentencing hearing is scheduled on May 10.
