It’s going to be a red hot Thursday particularly in Aborlan, Palawan, with temperatures set to hit 45 degrees Celsius, according to PAGASA’s Highest Heat Index forecast.

Other areas that will experience 44 degree Celsius temperatures on the heat index are: Dagupan City in Pangasinan, Puerto Princesa City in Palawan, and Catarman, Northern Samar.

Areas that will experience 43 degree Celsius temperatures are: Guiuan, Eastern Samar; San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, Tuguegarao City in Cagayan, ISU Echague in Isabela, Ambling in Tanauan, Batangas, Romblon City in Romblon, and Iloilo City and Dumangas in Iloilo.

Areas that will experience 42 degree weather are: MMSU, Batac, Ilocos Norte; Bacnotan, La Union; Aparri, Cagayan; Sangley Point in Cavite; Coron, Palawan; Virac, Catanduanes; and Roxas City in Capiz.

PAGASA weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio said NAIA in Pasay City will experience 40 degree weather while Science Garden in Quezon City will experience 39-degree Celsius temperatures.

He urged the public to stay cool and avoid the sun during the hottest parts of the day, and to wear light-colored clothing.
