MANILA — The median age for Filipinos to tie the knot stands at 28 to 30 years old, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

PSA data showed that in 2022, the median age to get married is 28 women and 30 for men.

The statistics bureau noted that this was higher than the median marriage age in 2021, when women and men tended to become spouses at age 27 and 29, respectively.

The number of marriages in 2022 rose to 449,428 from 356,839 in 2021.

During the first pandemic year or in 2020, registered marriages were at 240,775, the PSA said.

The PSA, citing its 2022 survey, also reported that the median age of Filipino women at first birth was 24 years old.
